About Me
In the early 2000s, I could have been diagnosed with some form of Autism. However, my parents objected as they thought it would ruin my education being labelled at a young age. Back then mental health was viewed poorly by society and something you didn’t want to associate with. After being abandoned at the age of 18 and struggling to hold down various jobs, I decided to get help and see a therapist. During my time in therapy, I mentioned about the encounter that I had with the health services that observed me when I was a child. That’s when I first came across the term Asperger Syndrome – now referred to as ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). I was diagnosed around late 2017 to early 2018, this changed my life for both good and bad. With the diagnosis, I can no longer join the military and it is something that I would hide from employers due to the stigma behind it. I eventually became a shut in, due to constant bullying in the workplace. The health services decided to give me additional support with the help of support workers. This support didn’t last and in the end. I realised I couldn’t rely on outside systems to give me the support and structure I need. I’m now committed to helping others by recommending only wellness products, that are proven to make a meaningful difference.
